Car Crash Reconstruction

Seeing really is believing. If we have clear dash cam video footage of what happened before, during or just after an incident a clear footage would be enough to convince an insurance company to settle a claim. An insurance company will consider what the dash cam footage shows. But there are no real automated solution for this. Every video needs to be manually checked in order to verify claims.

Key Challenges

  • Key elements such as Traffic Lights, Traffic signs, Road Marking, Pedestrians on Road needs to be identified.
  • Figure out cause of accident is tough we only have dashcam video from one car.

  • Deep learning Neural Networks pre trained on large dataset help provide multiple inferences about objects on road.
  • Custom Algorithms build on top of these inferences help to get information about the accident and provide ability to recreate it.
